Here is my idea for my Halloween George's Shirt. AI helped create the Ham-Boo-Ger image. I have included mock-ups of the four colors I am considering for the shirts. I am going with the "64000 Gildan SoftStyle Tee," so it will be lighter and softer than usual.

Good Morning, Family and Friends

I hope everyone is well and managing through this hot summer. I am excited to be heading to Greece tomorrow to pick up Mom. I have been giving her all your warm wishes and prayers, and she wants to come home yesterday. She has recovered well from her broken hip, but she is still retired. I will try to bring her down to the store on Fridays to say hi to everyone.

While I am gone next week, I gave the staff the option of closing Monday to Thursday to get a mini vacation. The morning staff wants to stay open, while the night staff jumped at the chance. This means that next week (8/19) to (8/22), we will be closing at 5pm. Thank you for understanding.

Lastly, I am working on our Halloween shirt and should be posting what I have done so far.

Please be safe. I look forward to seeing everyone when I return.

Mom is back in Greece again for the summer. I flew with her on the 13th to set her up with her sister. Here they both are. Mom wanted to let everyone know she is thankful to everyone who continues to ask how she is doing. She continues to improve with movement and is now walking with a cane. You can leave a message for her. Her sister will help her get them. Thank you again to everyone who continues to remember Mom.

Kalo Mhna! Wishing everyone a wonderful first of the month filled with happiness, health and prosperity.

March 5th, I took my girls to Disneyland After Dark. My daughter's birthday was the 13th so it was an early gift. I was bombarded by calls about someone telling my employees they were buying my restaurant. I told them it's news to me so just get a number and tell him to stop calling. I called the next day and asked what's so important that you interrupted my time off? He said, "I want to buy your business." I said it's not for sale. He came back of course it is. I said so you have an offer to make me move. What is the value of a 50-year business that has been part of this community worth then? He said no you tell me. I said 2 million. He got excited that includes the land, right? I said, "No that would be 5 million." He said he only had 2.5 million, I told him then you don't have enough.

I haven't spoken much since the 50th celebration because I have been regrouping and working toward my goals. I try to speak into existence my goals for the store and moving forward. My goal this year is to open another George's. I have been told why bother but if you know me then you know I am always trying to prove myself. I inherited my parent's restaurant, because of my mom deserved to retire and try to enjoy her life without having to work so hard. The location will be local, but my choice would be a neighboring city. I bring up the first part because I have been looking and 2.5 million will buy the land and a business that in less than desirable locations, but my goal isn't to sell off anytime soon.

I want to thank everyone that comes and supports us daily.
